Challenge
The challenge was to create a unified brand identity and a user-friendly website for Still Waters Foundation that clearly communicated its mission. The design needed to be visually appealing, easy to navigate, responsive across all devices, and accessible for users with disabilities.
Results
Using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma, I developed a minimalist brand identity and a responsive, user-friendly website. The site improved user engagement through intuitive navigation, social media integration, and donation features, enhancing the foundation’s online presence.
Process
Research & Discovery: I worked closely with UX researchers to understand the foundation's mission, values, and target audience through interviews and surveys. This helped align the brand identity and website design with the foundation's goals. Additionally, a competitive analysis was conducted to differentiate the foundation’s identity from similar organizations.
Design Conceptualization: To establish the brand’s visual direction, I developed mood boards that embodied tranquility and support. I also designed a consistent brand identity, including the logo, color palette, typography, and other UI components to create a unified look across all platforms, both digital and print.
Wireframing: I created low-fidelity wireframes for the key pages of the website, ensuring a simple and intuitive user flow that guided visitors through the foundation’s mission, programs, and donation options seamlessly.
User Testing & Feedback: User testing was conducted to gather feedback on both the brand visuals and website usability. Based on the results, I made refinements to the user flows and improved accessibility to cater to the foundation's broad audience, ensuring a better overall experience.
Launch & Reflection: The project was delivered in stages using agile methodology. After the launch, I assessed key outcomes like improved engagement with the site and the success of the brand’s new identity. Valuable lessons were learned in balancing creativity with tight timelines and optimizing feedback loops for efficient delivery.
Conclusion
The Still Waters Foundation project resulted in a cohesive brand identity and user-friendly website that aligned with the foundation’s mission. The design improved engagement and reinforced the foundation's online presence, highlighting the value of collaboration and user-centered design in delivering impactful solutions.
